We are in the middle of a process where we review our sustainability policy and ensure that we comply with the EU's CSR directive, which from 2024 requires large companies, including IT companies with more than 250 employees, to deal with these issues. The reason for this is that many of our large customers are already covered by these rules, which has meant that we also need to comply with them.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The requirement to deal with sustainability issues starts with companies with at least 250 employees, but will gradually be lowered to companies with 50, and later 20, employees. It's an extensive process, and we expect to see similar requirements from smaller companies soon.

Many companies seek external expertise to handle sustainability issues, which often lands on the desks of the IT or financial managers. Historically, this work has been seen as a side project, but now it is becoming an integral part of the companies' core business. Wellfish, a company that specializes in reporting sustainability data, helps us report our progress through an annual report.

They use our annual report, meeting structures and other relevant data to give a clear picture of our sustainability work. For example, they analyze how we carry out our meetings and our travel choices, where we of course prefer trains or electric cars to flights.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We have been working with sustainability since 2022, and focus on three main areas:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Environmental sustainability<\/span><\/strong> - Recycling, reduced emissions and better use of resources.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Social sustainability<\/span><\/strong> - Focus on the well-being of employees and the development of society.<\/span><\/li>
  3. Financial sustainability<\/span><\/strong> - Good corporate governance, circular economy, and to counter corruption by ensuring that our suppliers follow ethical standards and work sustainably.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Internally, sustainability is a standing point at our quarterly meetings. We discuss everything from how we buy recycled furniture to our choices of data centers and power sources for our servers. We strive to ensure that all our decisions, both financial and operational, promote a sustainable future.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Our sustainability journey is an ongoing process that we are deeply committed to. Even before there were clear directives from the EU, we started working on this, and we are at the forefront when it comes to sustainability reporting and taking responsibility. It's not just about following rules, but about being an attractive workplace for the talents of the future and creating a long-term sustainable business model.<\/span><\/p>
